The Flame's Call

The Flame's Call

A Poem by Zall
"

The fire calls, so inviting.

"

The Fire’s Call
Fire,
It burns the skin,
With just a single touch,
A single lash out,
A single glaze,
Burning the skin so hot,
Till it’s unbearable,
You can’t take it anymore,
Pulling back,
Till the skins only warm,
To the touch,
But you can’t resist,
The flames invite,
Promise so much,
You have to go back,
Back to what you don’t want,
Back to the burning,
The scalding fire,
Calls to you,
“Come to me,” it says,
“I won’t burn you,”
But it lies,
Once in the range,
It lashes out,
Burning the skin with a single touch,
A single lash out,
A single glaze,
“Come to me,” it calls,
“Come to me.”
