Outside The Window

Outside The Window

A Poem by Zall
"

They say the storm follows the calm, but what follows the storm is beautiful.

"

Outside The Window
The clouds roll in,
Outside my window,
A colorful painting in the sky,
A storm is coming,
Not far away.

I sit by the window,
And watch the clouds roll in,
No more color in the sky,
A storm is coming,
Not far away.

The rain washes in,
Outside my window,
A gray sight in the sky,
A storm washed in,
Not gone away.

I sit by the window,
And watch the rain wash in,
Still a gray sight in the sky,
A storm washed in,
Not gone away.

The clouds go away,
Outside my window,
A fading sight in the sky,
A mural gone,
No longer here.

I sit by the window,
And watch the clouds go away,
Still a fading sight in the sky,
A mural gone,
No longer here.

The sun shines in,
Outside my window,
A beautiful painting,
A rainbow flying high,
No longer gone.

I sit by the window,
And watch the color grow,
No longer has gray graced the sky,
A rainbow flying high,
No longer gone.
