Life’s Rubik’s Cube
By: Julia Lautizi
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Twisting and turning the colors of life,
Never knowing where it’s going to end up,
Does it help solve the puzzle,
Or make it worse,
Messing things up so bad you don’t know what’s right or wrong.
Green,
Blue,
White,
Switching and swapping the colors of life,
Never knowing whether it’s telling you something,
Does it help solve the puzzle,
Or make it worse,
Messing things up so bad you don’t know what path to take.
Red,
Orange,
Yellow,
Green,
Blue,
White,
The colors of life,
Just like a Rubik’s cube,
Twisting,
Turning,
Switching,
And swapping,
All the things in life around,
Helping with the puzzle of life,
Messing with right and wrong,
Until finally,
You make one turn,
And you’ve finished the puzzle,
Everything falls into place,
You’re guided down the right path,
Everything making sense,
Until something happens,
And there’s still one square that doesn’t fit.
The puzzle of life is never solved,
Always twisting,
Turning,
Switching,
And swapping,
Because that’s life’s Rubik’s cube,
Life’s never ending puzzle.
