Ravaged

Ravaged

A Poem by Zalinthel
"

We all grow weary with everything from time to time, do we not?

"

You only live once, but you die a thousand times

If not in the body, in the soul and the mind

The world takes its toll, as it ravages all

And time bears down, and turns everything cold

You fight the shadow, and shine it with light

But you find the dark never falters

And so in this horror, as you grow older

You slowly give up

And die.
