Dawn

Dawn

A Poem by Zalinthel
"

Let your interpretation of the writings forge its own meaning in place of mine.

"

I stood before the glow, head raised high as the light engulfed the horizon

The golden luminance washed over the world like liquid gold, igniting the colors with violent color

The sky itself burst into vibrancy as the all-consuming brightness continued its rush, the whole of the world bowing to its will as it shined

The black that preceded it fled and vanished as if it had never been in the wake of the rise,

And I turned my back to the brilliance, and with the dawn at my back, faced the darkness

With a renewed purpose, set ablaze by serenity.
