Worthless

Worthless

A Poem by Zaila
"

Something spurred by pain. Pain... a funny thing. It can change a person completely.

"

Through watery eyes,

I gaze upon his face.

A demon in disguise,

His plan my worth to erase.

"How dare you look up!?

"Now get down on all fours."

He ravages, won't let up.

I feel my blood as it pours

I know I'm worthless

He gives me no mercy

I'm bleeding, wounded, helpless

Confusion spills over me

I think, "Is this love?"

So painful, so empty

I look for peace from above

Nothing, no answer for me.

This is a heart breaking poem. It brings across the sense of worthlessn raither well, but no one truly is worthless. Any man who needs control and tries to make the one he is supposed to love feel so lowly is not a true man in my book. He would have no need to control to lift his own esteem otherwise. Well penned.

Deep, dark and cold is this man...whom gathers power through control..., pain...such pain and confusion this beautiful soul feels as she looks up at him through watery eyes. This is another great work of art created by Zaila!. I love it!

This is a cold poem.
No consolation, no resolve, just plain, cold truth.
I like that. How you just seem to express things as they are, not make it any better, or any worse.
& I agree so much with your description that pain can change a person, that's so true. I've seen it happen so often, it's so sad.

Yours truly,
