The OtherA Poem by ZaharaUneditedSometimes I envy the other Sometimes I wish I was a brother Don't get me wrong, I don't mind being a mother, nor a great - grandmother but when I feel those eyes on my back, I think I'd rather be the like the other. Brown circles, long locks stare hard at me. "Take that off! You don't want that kind of attention." It's fine, I'll put him in detention. Are you living in another dimension? Come down, I think there's a misapprehension. I really don't want to cause tension So I'll try prevention They stare at me in suspicion My eyes glisten, coz they just don't know my intention Pure, not looking for an ascension. Not to mention, Not even seeking attention. But you cause tension I blame the misapprehension. You are afraid I'll need birth prevention No need for suspension Can you stop this pretention? I'm just an extension of the soul that gave e the most attention. I really do envy the other. It'll never happen. So why even bother? I do wish I was a brother. I feel trapped being a mother
