Forbidden Love

Forbidden Love

A Poem by Rekain
"

Interpret it as you will.

"

Her eyes, a violet, pure

Against her white landscape

They shine out fierce and sure

My thoughts of her I can’t escape

As she brings her harp up

Her fingers begin their dance

Her voice rises so sweet, so soft

And puts me in a trance

She sings of love of one so dear

But cannot be achieved

The longing for one so near

But so far away it seems

She lowers her harp

With tears in her eyes

She stands up and looks around

And quickly runs outside

I get up and follow her

To see just what was wrong

She turns around and smiles at me

Turns out it was the song

“Let’s run away, just you and me

Forget our binding rules”

As I heard the words I smiled sweet

This was the greatest news.
