Just 1 SummerA Poem by Zackery Alan DaleyAn old poem found in a notebook from my ninth grade year
Just one summer, not one year through.
A certain girl that I admire starts a heated ruse. I broke a moral law, that they though wrong, And so I started smoking for a way to stop. All the racing thoughts, of unusual stock. Turning me in to a monster with conviction Named Johnny Hancock. I'm the one who saw you, and claimed you, That feeling you won, When you kiss the one that you love "So you'll wait for me?" "Where the hell else am I to go?" © 2010 Zackery Alan DaleyAuthor's Note
