Trapped On Your BackA Poem by Zackery Alan DaleyA poem to she who must not be named.
Feeling across my face I
Notice a creature behind my fingers.
If this was love, I wouldn't be so scared. I lay you down and lay you up. This wasn't my proudest moment, But we both loved it and you know it. I hate the sound of your voice, So I made a choice: To make you scream my name! I never wanted to be saved! As if I were still pinned on you. Like a dog and his bone, I treated that child, As if she was my own, I would help you but, All you have to do is stick your arm out! Get of your back Dizz! I'm tired of the thizz! No shame in taking off what you only tried to wear! All you have to do is stick your arm out! Grasp my hand, I'll pull you from quicksand! I never wanted to be saved... © 2010 Zackery Alan DaleyAuthor's Note
