The Monster with Conviction.

The Monster with Conviction.

A Poem by Zackery Alan Daley
"

retitled because the original title of "softcore" has nothing to do with anything. HAHA

"
I learned from a young age,
My parents lied to me.
So I developed my own skill,
I could convince you to kill.
Persuasion saved my life,
But also ruined it to the sight,
With nothing more than time on my hands,
I feel so damned.
A science fiction monster.
Descendant of Cain like Grendel and his w***e mother.
I'm no hero, let them ravage the countryside.
If he slays me...well that's life...

Nice piece.. there's a great subtle rhyme scheme in there. The last bit "well that's life" kind of detracted from it for me, but it's okay.

Nice job.

I like it :) I like how it flows with rhythm. It's so simple, I'm sure some of us can relate to this poem, because our parents do lie to us..
