"Footfalls crushing"

A Poem by Zack Burton

Poem #34. Uploaded Sunday November 28, 7:22 PM. From "Poetry Collection 1."

"
Footfalls crushing
Slowly rushing
Little roaches screaming for room
Faces redden
Veins are leaden
Heavy with cholesterol doom
Chins are swollen
Dirty colon
Clease me please and keep me fresh
Soon they're rocking
Then they're flocking
To grease their sweaty, greasy flesh
Peanut butter
Flabby stutter
Fleshy waterfall in the nude
Chili-cheese fries
Everyone dies
Sloshing stomachs burst with food

Wonderful structure, and humorous (but serious) topic. Very well done.

gluttony is a biggie with a nation of fast food babies always on the thrill ride of instant gratification~
the most horrific thing I ever saw in relation to this topic was this;
I took a friend to deborah heart center for an echocardiogram and while we're in the waiting room an extremely obese woman rolled in seated on one of those mechanical expanded wheelchairs with a steering feature~ in the basket in front of her were two Burger King bags~ part of the contents was in one hand and her mouth~ the sad part was in the image of her overweight child who couldn't have been more than 12~trailing her mother with her own burger in one hand and the BK bag in the other~
human beings are always desperate to fill the emotional hollows with one thing or another~ just f***ing sad~
