Living to die.A Poem by Zachary Willis
I push and I shove
I've had enough! This isn't life Working til the day you die. The bump, the grind, shoving people down to make yourself appear high. Life is outside. Beyond these four walls. How long until you escape the halls between the cubicle stalls. Take a good look at yourself, go ahead ill wait. Are you happy with what you see? Working your fingers to the bone. Attempting magic, tryin to get bread from stone. Tempting fate? Work your family away, die alone. Is that what you want? Is the money that good? Truth be told all you need is a roof and some food. Is it worth losing everything you love? Work is necessary I'll agree. But work is not the number one priority. You were given a gift called life. Maybe you should try living, Instead of just living to die. © 2013 Zachary WillisAuthor's Note
