My Love for You

As the days pass,
As the months go on,
And years fly by with ease.

Some loves may come and go,
Like leaves fall from a tree.

Some lives may walk in darkness,
As their eyes struggle to see.
Some loves may fail,
As hearts lock away their keys.

Yet my love for you will never fail,
Or look away and try to flee.
It will linger on
Like a tender kiss from the breeze.

And the promise that I make to you
Is one that can't be seen,
But is of a love that will forever be.
