Morale

Morale

A Poem by Zakari Schmidt
"

200,000 miles away

"
When my dream was wide awake
our connection had improved
Satellite feed of a face,
looked an awful lot like you
There was static in a smile
200,000 miles away
Lunar phases of ourselves
system error, detonate
all urgent messages I send
First contact offered a choice
Malfunction and then restart
to celebrate without rejoice
Morale is strong,
my faith is gone

"Malfunction and then restart
to celebrate without rejoice (rejoicing)
Morale is strong,"

High in morale, urgent in messages. Bravo................
