Crime of Sorrow

Crime of Sorrow

A Poem by TheWriter
"

This is a poem I wrote for a project in school after reading Of Mice and Men.

"

Living in solitude

Wandering around

No sense of what’s to be found

What is a soul to do

Must the road be so confined and distant

Anticipating dreams, enduring, with no mission

Leaves them in a friendless condition

It’s time to travel this road back and search for something consistent

Tomorrow is to be told

Perhaps a new beginning will unfold

Life is anything but simplistic

Tough times come and go, but they are realistic

Yet I am hopeful

Not to be boastful

But I have a friend that listens

We converse, relieving stress and tensions

Having someone to sympathize

Will make your spirits rise

Maybe one day you’ll have to say goodbye

But for now life is a prize

Bragging about being different than others

Because you have a friend

And you guys have each other

But could you end

Your friendship

only to become like them

If it was best for him

This is what separates true friends from them

Thank-you!, umm I wrote this last year, so I can't exactly remember what I got on it but I finished the class with a low A, so I don't think the grade on this could of been too bad...thanks again! =)
