Friendship

Friendship

A Poem by Zach

I see him there

Standing nonchalantly.

How can he act so cool

Calm,

And collected?

Doesn't he realize

He has her?

She is my everything,

And he is hers,

My soulmates

Soulmate.

I can't hate him

When I see her smile,

But do I have to like him?

For her sake

I pretend.

A mutual comradeship

As we strive to make her

Happy.

He may sense my wants,

But as long as she is

Content,

He should know he

Has nothing to fear

From me.

For now we continue

This charade.

As long as she smiles,

I will be the friend.

Who said chivalry was dead?! Lol. I really like this poem. Most of your poems are simple yet subtle and flow rather well and this one is no exception. "My soulmates soulmate" very passionate.
