Endless struggle

Endless struggle

A Poem by Zach
"

One of the few poems I've written that doesn't specifically tell you what it's about. Shouldn't be hard to guess though...

"

I see you sitting there.

Anxiety,

Pain,

Melts away at the sight.

Until you leave,

Everything then breaks down.

When I seek solace,

It's you I often find.

You're not what I need,

But often I can't,

Withstand,

The instant comfort you give.

Why do I let myself

Fall into your trap?

The ease you give,

Vanishes,

The pain washes over me

When you're gone.

I'm losing the fight

Against your charms.

The more I try to resist,

The more I can hear you call.

When will I free myself

Of the hold you have on me?

The effort can't be pointless...

Can it?

I will harden my resolve,

Gather my will,

I will find a way

To defeat you.
