A haiku, sweet man, this is a breaking new ground for me as a reviewer...
I really like this, I can picture the finch, on a branch or one of those poles that extends from the bottom of a birdhouse, if you know what I'm talking about, chirping away trying to make sure his voice is heard over the hundreds or maybe even thousands of birds around him, all with the intention of finding a mate. What a happy little poem man! This is why I love haiku's so much, because if you do it right you can really cement a powerful image in the brain of the reader, and I think you've done that for me very well. Some Japanese haiku's are so ambiguous (or poorly translated) that you're just like..."what?" But you've taken a reletively uncomplicated approach, yet you've managed to invoke the same emotions that every writer aspires for, because I can see the little finch, or thousands of little finches, all trying to cure their lonliness. Great stuff man, I really enjoyed it. Thank you man, thank you, I think I'm going to picturing this happy little scene all night!
