Broken Mirror, Of My Past

Broken Mirror, Of My Past

A Poem by Zachary_James

I am staring at myself in the broken mirror, of my past.

Glass shattered everywhere, I kneel down to find the broken piece, of my past.

Blood splatters everywhere, as I try to find where my life went wrong.

It’s like a missing an  unknown puzzle piece, my heart shatters with the mirror of my past,

My tears are glass crystals, they represent where I went down the path of destruction.

I walk down the roads of dead ends. Looking for where I went so wrong, with my life.

Searching is my only option,

I may get cuts, but I don’t care.

My head tells to stop going crazy,

But I refuse to till I find the broken pieces, of my past.

This piece is simply brilliant. I reread it about three times to take it in as much as possible. I can very much relate with the meaning and message of this poem, yet at the same time I try to look forward to my futue. Because even if you glue the broken mirror together, the cracks will always remain.
Wonderflly written. I loved it.
