Chapter 1A Chapter by Zachary_JamesWhen I met
Devon, his eyes were the first thing that attracted me to him. My heart started
to melt when he started my way. “Hey sexy
boy, what’s your name?” His pulled out his leather bound wallet as he waited
for my brain to react from the body of the man, the sexiest man I have ever
seen in my life. My heart started
palpitating when I met his gaze, for a moment it felt as if we were on a secluded
island. Drinking margaritas, while kissing passionately. “Here’s
your drink” His hand
was shaking, I could tell he was nervous, because beer splashed on to my lap as
he handed me the glass. “Oh s**t I’m
sorry” He said in a panic, I just sighed and laughed sarcastically as he freaked
out as if spilling my drink on me was a big problem. “Don’t apologize it’s
cool, it’ll dry I’m sure. “ He sighed feeling awful about what just happened at
the bar table. “ Dude I said it’s fine, no need to worry” I reassured him. Before
in knew it, he grabbed my hand, leading me to the dance floor. I was surprised
at how one instant he could go from feeling awful, to one second being so
carefree. I loved it. We made our way through the stampede of the crowd and on
to the center of the room. Neon lights gleamed, as a song came on: A slow song
to say the least. Devon is so hot I focused on him, the whole time we were
dancing. “ So I was wondering… do you have any reason as to why the bar is so
packed tonight?” As we dance Devon says “everyone comes here on Friday night,
it’s the best bar in Kanas for Gays to meet and chat. “ What about Tran’s
genders, are they welcome?” He laughed about my question, but the expression on
my face told him that I was serious. “ Well yeah everyone’s welcome here we don’t
judge, we aren’t the kind to judge.” We
danced with our arms attached to one another’s neck. Slowly as if the music
never stopped. “ Tell me about yourself, why’d you choose coming here?” he
asked and paused. Waiting for an answer, “To have a better life, to fit in….” “My parents disowned me
after I told them I was trans-gender they don’t want anything to do with me or
the way I live. So when they went to sleep, I was packing my bags, and I was
just gone. I haven’t had contact with them in a year.” A single tear rolled
down my face, leaving Devon to wipe it for me. The song stopped, we broke loose. “ Want to get outa here, we can get coffee or something?” I nod. As we walked out. When I met

The night was cool, I looked
at the blackened sky, shifting my attention to Devon saying. “ Thanks for the
good time tonight, I really liked being with you. My heart was telling me, to
kiss Devon but I wasn’t positive how he felt. When I get nervous, my breathing
starts to increase. I can’t tell if he
likes me back, my voice convinces me.
Turning to face me, Devon says “ Come to my place, I insist you take the suggested offer” I wasn’t expecting that. Especially the first night we had met. “I’m not sure I can, Devon we’ve just met. I don’t know you.” He sighed “But Landon we can be alone. “ I shrugged and said, “ok He caught me by surprise,
when his lips met mine. “ I’ve wanted to kiss you the whole damn night” he said
gracing my face with his hands.
