A gift I've always wantedA Poem by Rilaya-EndgaymeThis is a poem That I wrote when I was eleven. It was supposed to be a riddle to Santa Claus at the time, but I hadn't gotten the chance to put it under the tree that year. So, I made it my homework for my drama class at my school. We were supposed toDear Santa Claus,
I would like something that walk and run at its own pace, something that won't stay in my stocking, but can fill this empty space.
Something that I'm not ready for now, but will be in three years, something that can cheer me up when my eyes are filled with tears.
Something that doesn't snore and sleeps next to my bed, something that doesn't give me allergies, doesn't have dander and doesn't shed.
I have lots of stuffed ones, but I really want something real, though my pet birds will probably freak when this special gift won't heel.
It seems like all my friends have one, and sometimes I feel left out. That's my letter to you, Santa! I hope you what I'm talking about.
