My friend is going through a tough time right now. This is to encourage him.

As you sit there, angry, confused, upset

Sad, heartbroken, despondent.

Your life, its hopes and dreams are shattered

Left broken on the floor.

 

You ponder things that might have been

The way life might have looked in

five, ten, twenty years

And you realize that it will never be.

 

Your life seems empty, meaningless

There's nothing left to be there for

But the one who holds us when we fall

Is always there and calling you.

 

And we are here to hold you up

We care and want to see you grow

So take heart and courage and stay the course

For we are running next to you.
