Truth Be ToldA Poem by Yvette ShawWhy we do what we do...
Truth Be Told
I hate roller coasters, the sudden drops, the constant jerking
of confused limbs, the nauseas waves of excitement pounding
at my senses, the thrill of the exit; when it finally finishes.
I hate sky diving when the air is cold, the wind blowing east
taking it’s toll. The crush of my legs when I tuck, drop, and
fold, relieved, yet disgusted…truth be told.
Bungee jumping; now that was something, a hell of a rush,
truly banging. I hated that to, too much like a hanging.
Climbed a rock, to the top of it’s summit, impressed the hell
out of her, I disappeared to vomit.
Needless to say, I hated that too…But she’s wickedly hot, what
else could I do?
