Our Fresh Start

Our Fresh Start

A Poem by Yvette Shaw
"

How the Heart and Mind agrees to deal with pain

"

                    Our Fresh Start

What infinite numbers of garbled lies
The truth’s we tell to mask loves cries

It didn’t matter…always after
She wasn’t the one, ends each chapter

It was nothing, silences the screaming
Just one of those things, calms the
Dreaming

She’ll come back, unspoken prayer
Once she’s heard…I never cared

Rest in peace, unbroken heart, dream
Only of…
                                  our fresh start

Nicely put together...I like the idea behind it as well.
"Rest in peace, unbroken heart, dream Only ofour fresh start"
I love this line...I read it as very optimistic.

Well...these words, so poignantly written, and so very bittersweet, are often too true...
Great job! I will hold out for that fresh start, again and again and again! ;)
