Bad Math...It All Adds Up To SomethingA Poem by Yvette ShawThoughts on past relationshipsBad Math…It All Adds Up To Something She was wickedly hot beautiful to breathe in
and I came to love her, that should have counted
for something
The way my skin felt the heat, when she gently
caressed it, that definitely counted for something
When the tears came, she wiped them away, for
me that counted for something
When we sat for hours pondering the whys, I
thought it counted for something
We planned we schemed we shared our dreams,
you’d think that counted for something
We talked about life and its wicked schemes, it
should have counted for something
She said her car broke down I offered her mine,
I hoped it’d counted for something
When I said I trusted her knowing she’d lied, that
definitely counted for something
When she cried feeling lost I walked away while
she searched, assuming it counted for something
My heart broke watching us fade,
thinking...Damn wasn’t that something

It’s All Adds up to Something…
She was wickedly hot; my skin felt the heat. When the tears came, we sat for hours.
Shared our dreams, talked about life. She said her car broke down, I trusted her,
she’d lied, she cried, I walked away. My Heart Broke.
