Depression is a Painful Friend

When depression becomes a friend and it's rather painful when they do because they know how to break you to the core.

I’m sinking
Further than many other times
Falling into an empty void
An empty void full of emotions
Pain, loneliness, grief, heartache, and suffering
This goes on endlessly
All of which belong to Depression
Almost like falling into water
Where the shadows of darkness has consumed you
Where Depression becomes your friend
A painful friend
A persistent friend who knows how to break you
Like a thorn stuck in your side
Except this time, it’s a sword stabbing constantly into your heart
Where your heart can’t handle the painful suffering
As if someone has reached out to your heart
Not safely but is in their grip
Tightening around your heart
Making it painful to breathe
Painful to be alive
Where all you can do is keep sinking
Sinking into the world of Depression
