Seeping into the Bone

Where the frustration of the world begins to weigh heavily on your mind and body, you give in to the temptation of giving up.

My hair is flying all over the place.
Staring up into the dark, gloom of a sky
Walking along the emptiness of the beach
The weight of the world on my shoulders
Giving up becomes easier 
Temptation lingers in the air
Frustration seeping into my bones
I tell myself, “I’m ready to give in.”
To my suffering
My loneliness
The soft, quiet sounds of the waves 
Slowly giving in to the darkness
The darkest corners of my broken mind
To the agony within this shattered heart
