I'm Walking

I'm Walking

A Poem by Yusuf Qaizar

I’m walking,

alone in this crowded path.

I’m talking,

amidst the hefty voices.

A single voice that wasn’t spoken;

A single voice that wasn’t heard.

The overwhelming bubble of silence;

won’t make a sound when it’ll burst.

I’m a shadow,

trying to stand up;

to ascend from the excruciating darkness

to the exuberant light.

I’m still walking

with no one by my side.

Companionship in my heart

company is in dearth.

I’m a puddle,

dauntless of the stormy rains.

Below the black skies,

with thunder as my light.

I don’t move;

I just reflect, a bird’s flight.

I’m a star.

Millions of me around.

I’m still walking;

I’m still talking.
