Factory

Factory

A Poem by Nic

Factory

Every day at the same hour they all wake up.

They then proceed to go to the bathroom where

They have the same routine every time.

They later eat the same thing for breakfast like every morning.

They proceed on their way to the factory, as if they were standing on conveyor belts.

In the factory, they continue what they were doing Yesterday and the day before.

They get some time to buy the same food they buy every day for lunch.

After their small break, they continue working in the factory.

They get home when everything is dark.

Every day is the same at this point.

Once they get home, they eat

And wonder why they’re still doing it.

Once they are above the age of working,

They get out of the factory to work in the nice new offices.

But after a few weeks of being there,

They realise nothing has changed at all.
