The other day I saw a deer

The other day I saw a deer

A Poem by YuiYokai

The other day I saw a deer,

With many eyes and sprouting antlers.

Pale and spindly and strange.

My existence shrunk,

Awareness narrow,

Like looking through a telescope.

It looked into me like the void

Before blinking and walking away.

Feet sink back onto moss,

Heart sink back into heart,

Silence melt back into woodnoise.

needs a little editing, but this is a most interesting scene set in words...sometimes animals like deer stare at us like they know something about us that we don't--
I like this.
