"Friends"

Just something i wrote in a vent after coming in semi-contact with an ex-friend. Written in a letter-ish form...

Hypocrite, what is said about love?
Love.
Love your friends, love yourself, love the people who need you most but not that ones who don't.
"But it's not the same," that's what you said.
"You wouldn't understand it," as if I'd never lived before.
Grown up too fast, but still has a baby face. Always denied, always pushed aside.
"But I love you too," is what I said, "what is so different about mine?"
Because I'm not a boy, because I'm not for sex. What about that "open mind"?
Acceptance? Liar.
Fast forward 4 years, what do I see?
"Friendship is important. Love your friends, it's great, you see!"
"Fall in love with your friends. Keep them close."
But where was that before? Have you fallen so hard on your head that you finally learned some sense?
When all I did was give and not take except the marks you left on my face.
Bitter.
Bitter and loathing and wishing for escape, wishing for apologies but not wanting to give forgiveness.
Pulling and tugging and hoping you'd go away, you left me for boys when I offered you everything a friend could.
Behind my back, you went and you hurt me and I said "FINE."
Ignored you for a year, you accused me of affairs, with my best friend no less.
Called my boyfriend a troll and then tried to get him in bed, you disgusting thing I hope your hair falls out of your head,
and the guilt and the regret comes dripping from you like poison, in all the ways I wish you to hurt in the ways you hurt me.
I want it to burn and leave you with memories once fond but turned sour.

Hypocrite,
Every day is a shadow of your mistakes left and the friendship that used to be.
But I will not fall for it again, the monster in this story is not me.

Well, you're upset. There's no doubt about it. It's good to vent out your feelings. Don't worry, we're more than happy to read and share our opinions. Friends are supposed to be there for each other; if they're not, they're no longer friends. Cheer up. Thanks for sharing.
