Childlike StoryA Story by YsaA funny and uplifting memory that reminds you the little things matter. You
are organizing and dividing what to store and what to throw away. You come
across a little piece of paper you wrote on as a child. You wrote the title of
the piece as your song and decide to read it. Apparently, the song is about
your parents being away and so you decide to throw a party with your friends,
and even dance with a boy. You laugh at the silliness of it all. You see your
childish handwriting which for some reason looks better than your current
scratchy, squiggly penmanship. You see your spelling mistakes and grammatical
errors. You as a child meant for it to be a song but when the older you reach
the final lines, you see a “The End” finish it all. You laugh out loud on why it
is a song when you ended it as if it was a story. These
are the kind of wholesome things meant to be kept near to you, for when you
need a short break from reality, a pick-up moment while you try to organize and
divide the chaos and confusing parts of your life. These are keepsakes that are
made by you are able to bring small happiness, even if you can’t remember when
did you write with your neat yet messy writing the song, or is it a story?
Well, you cannot remember, but that does not change the fact that the small
things matter in a word full of anger and sadness, madness and confusion. You
tuck it away somewhere you can easily find and try to dig up more of your
creations from when you were a child. It is time again for more work, but you
look forward to finding other small treasures only a select few and including
yourself will appreciate. It may just be a piece of paper you cannot write on
anymore, but it has more value than one may initially believe upon their first
glance or view. © 2020 YsaAuthor's Note
