Between Light and Dark

Between Light and Dark

A Poem by Yozora Misa

The clouds lets go of their despair

As if they share my sorrow

I look towards the ever darkening sky

Wishing for the sun to rise

I disperse into the wind

Blown to the far of distances

Across the oceans to the ends of the world

I seek comfort in the swaying of the tress

As they brush my cheeks so warm

Dip my feet into the calming waters

Seeping into it with pleasure

As I flood into it

Fishes scattered and plants gather

My consciousness is slipping

Darkness coils around me

Beckoning me to follow it to the shadows

But warmth embraces me

And once again my feet meets the ground

The sun has risen

Once again the clouds are pure

But why is it that I hold onto this shadow

A prince upon a white horse appears across the horizon

But why do I hesitate to take his hand

The moon begins to pass over

But why do I not run

The dark knight appears with his blacken horse

But why do I feel safe at his gaze

The world splits into two

As the battle between light and dark begins

Even if I were to disperse in despair again

Be sent across to the end of death

I still want to see those eyes of yours

I stand but on this thought as you fight for my soul

Whether you win or lose

This soul was yours from the beginning

And will always be yours

The sun over takes the skies in victory

But the clouds color themselves gray

And I once again disperse in despair

Until once again my dear knight

I’ll await in tears for your return

To set this soul free
