"

You shouldn't fear high school, because it isn't scary. What you should fear, is the students. They are your worst nightmare. They will torture you in ways unimaginable; rumors, lies, backstabbing, and hate. Sound familiar? Good. This is exactly what the

"

Corrine exited the lunch line, bouncing with excitement. She would have simply text or called them, but her mother had taken her phone when she grounded her. Looking for her table, she stood in the middle of the cafeteria. She felt rather awkward standing there, but then again, she liked the attention. After moments of waiting, she finally decided she wasn’t going to be the ridicule of fourth period lunch, and quickly pulled a chair next to a random table.

She began to tear open the saran wrap on her salad, when she noticed her friends Cullenesque entrance into the lunchroom. Veronica, with her dark black hair and shining green eyes, was the first to sit. She smiled at Corrine, and began to open her bag.  Mitchell was the second down. Without looking up, he swiftly unloaded his sub, water, and chips. "Hey," he mumbled, his mouth filled with food. Ashton and Gabrielle quickly pulled up chairs.

"Charming." Veronica groaned, rolling her eyes. "What’s up V?" Ashton asked. "Nothing, nothing at all…"

"Seriously, what’s wrong?" Gabrielle questioned.

"It’s just that the Human Tampon and his friends were calling me a w***e."

"The ‘Human Tampon’?" Corrine laughed.

"Mm," Mitchell started, "They call him that, because you know what you do with a tampon, right?"

"Well, obviously. You stick it up… and then throw it awa-oh!" Corrine smirked.

"And that’s being nice. I can come up with a lot of other names for that little d****e." Veronica moaned.

"Isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?" Gabrielle wondered.

"Totally hypocritical. Anyway, where’s Elliot and Sebastian?" Corrine asked Mitchell.

"He said they were skipping lunch to help out with some fundraising thing."

"Mmm, that’s right." Corrine replied.

"Oh, did you guys hear about what Lacey’s group in the writing class is trying to do?" Ashton asked the group.

"No what?" Corrine wondered.

"Well, supposedly Lacey and Gregory wan-" Ashton started.

"Gregory!" Corrine exclaimed.

"What about him?" Veronica said.

"I was cleaning my room, and I found this note he gave me. You know how much I like him, so I just smiled and nodded. Anyway, here-" She answered, handing Veronica the note.

Veronica’s eyes rapidly scanned the sheet of paper. Moments later her jaw dropped. A wide grin spread across Corrine’s face. "Yeah," She smiled. Looking at Veronica, Ashton and Gabrielle hungry grabbed at the note.

"What does it say?" Mitchell asked, hunched over his lunch.

"Read it, and you’ll find out." Veronica smiled fiendishly, taking a bite of her fruit salad.

"Just read me the damn note!" Mitchell growled.

"Okay, okay. Is it that time of the month again?" She joked. Mitchell tossed Veronica a nasty look, and Gabrielle handed the not back to Corrine.

"It said that Gregory was bringing a, quote, special surprise to your party." Corrine explained.

"He’s the f****t that brought that crap to my party," Mitchell cried out, "I swear to god, I’ll kick his a*s!"

"Calm down!" Ashton replied, rolling her eyes.

"Ashton, you weren’t there. You didn’t see who was taken in and questioned!" He said.

"Who did get taken in?" Gabrielle asked.

"Jessicakatiezacharyanthonyjeffluisvannessaleoamy and Cory." Veronica replied.

"Woah, Jeff Clinedale, or Jeff Offin?" Ashton said.

"I don’t, the one with the brown ha-" Corrine started.

"Guys," Veronica pointed over her shoulder. Moving over to their table, Gregory was smiling.

"Well speak of the Devil…" Gabrielle faded.

Okay, I tried to improve from my last chapter. I remembered to start a new paragraph, so hopefully I didn't overdo it.

I can tell that you have a lot of great ideas and enthusiasm for writing, which is GREAT! Is this your first book? Anyways, good job with the dialogue and starting new paragraphs. I look forward to reading more of your work--keep up the good work because you only get better if you practice!
