Sea Glass Eyes

Sea Glass Eyes

A Poem by Eli Lugo

There's star bits in your smile
& sea glass in your eyes

You're gaze heats like the summer sun
Melting me everytime

Every glance you give me sparks nostalgia in my mind

You feel like deja vu I swear
We've crossed in previous lives

My heart pounds like a drum beat but for once my thoughts are quiet

Instead of raging waters it was clouds and sunny skies

I then knew what heaven must be like
When I looked into your sea glass eyes

If I could just spend every moment with you in my sights

I'd never look away i swear I wouldn't mind

Very sweet love poem. I can kind of visualize the imagery you've written.
