Intertwined

Intertwined

A Poem by YourXArtist

Sometimes I walk

the streets at night

and hope to see

you clear as light

You walk down one end

and i'll walk the other

there our hearts would mend

We'll have no one but each other

And down that street

will show a moment in time

where we'll be complete

as our hearts would intertwine

and this bond we share

would never end

It shows we care

It's the love that we send

And this is the place

where I want to be

to touch your sweet face

and cross the sea

To a distant so far

that leads me to you

You'll be my lucky star

as you guide me through

this adjacent route

that has no end

I'm holding a hand out

ready to extend

in the moment we touch

our worlds would come together

that's wanted so much

like summer weather

where flowers bloom

inside the heart

and there's no more gloom

because our love can now start
