If I Knew

If I Knew

A Poem by Beka Perry
"

I wrote this poem for a contest

"
If I knew you'd leave me,
If I knew it'd be a hard fall.
I would've left
A long time ago.
Now I'm in pain
from this fall.
Cloud 9 died
under my feet.

If I knew I'd hurt,
If I knew you weren't the one.
I could've ran,
Ran away from you.
Now I see
I didn't mean
That much to you.

If I knew you didn't care,
If I knew you didn't love.
I should've snapped
Out of this dream.
You made me fall,
but you didn't catch.

If I knew then,
what I know now.
Maybe then I could've
Woken up in my bed
And not on this solid ground.
