I wrote this for/about my boyfriend, Elijah.

The way you hold me,

With your cocky smile.

Makes me feel safe

Here in your arms.

 

The way your glasses

Brighten your beautiful eyes.

I could stare into them

Forever and ever.

 

Kissing you can only

Make me fly.

High in the sky,

With no consequence,

With no words.

 

With a name so unique,

It makes my ears ring.

A stomach full of

Those annoying butterflies.

I can only imagine

What you’re feeling inside.

 

You’re my best friend.

The guy who has

Always been there

Even when

I didn’t care.

 

So in the future,

If we somehow part.

Please stay my friend,

Because you are my love.
