Take the BlameA Poem by Callen SteinFor all the couples out there fighting to keep things strong, even if it seems so hardEverything seems hopelessly trivial So I plead here for mindless innocence, Though I suppose it's detrimental To show my guilt and beg for forgiveness. We are equally in debt to our war Against the other's sorrow and regrets. I've not known agony like this before Our guilt tried to allow us to forget. You are the enemy I can't defeat, My strongest, most unquestionable friend. I'd fight forever, so grand that feat To shelter you from becoming broken. Our battle now is who will throne the blame Or point the finger at the other's shame.
