SorryA Poem by Geoffrey SpriggottAn apology.
Maybe I'm three hours away from the perfect phrase.
In time, it will come. But I don't have time. This is not poetry. This is life. All I have is this: You, sat, affronted. I've been throwing words for fun again. I'm sorry, I know you don't believe me. Yes, but that's how it is. No, I didn't think. It was a bout of indolence hastened by boredom Prolonged by indifference. I forgot you feel, I'm sorry. Talk to me, Friend. I'm back now. Is it too late? © 2014 Geoffrey Spriggott |
