Time to thinkA Poem by Geoffrey SpriggottDo we really have time to think and reflect on life lessons, or does the pace and rhythm of life mean we do not learn from our errors?
I'm keening at the edge of some future truth that's obtained then
out of mind - like newspapers. Short is the window of learning, buffeted by spreadsheets, or laundry. Tomorrow arrives like a gut-punch, that connects before it's thrown. Unknowables flank to the right, to the left uncertainties roam. The rhythm is here, the thought escapes. Tiredness claims me - like past mistakes. © 2014 Geoffrey SpriggottAuthor's Note
