"I must." Jack whispered back. I remembered the feeling of him running his fingers through my long ginger hair. I remembered the taste of his lips. I remembered his happy laugh. How could the bed be warm without him? How could I be without him? Why would he leave like this! "I need you. You said we could last a lifetime." I pulled back and squeezed his soft hand. He stared into my watery eyes. "We will last a lifetime. Together or not." He smiled. His eyes seemed to look watery. I saw a tear building up in his eye. It slowly rolled down his face. I didn't know where Jack was going. "I love y-" I couldn't finish my sentence because I threw my arms around him again. I began to cry some more. I saw the back of his shirt get more and more wet, because of my tears. "I love you too." He said loudly. The train's whistle, whistled loudly. "No. Please don't leave me!" I cried, squeezing him tightly. He wrapped his arms around me and squeezed me back. But then he pulled back. "Remember me, my love." He said. "No!" Jack backed up and climbed up onto the train steps. I fell onto my knees and tears ran down my face. The train whistled again. The train's wheels moved. I watched it slowly start to go faster and faster. I stared at it until it disappeared.
