Day's

Day's

A Poem by Smithie Austin McLyn
"

Old Poem

"
Days come and go as you speak lies
trying to realize what the truth behind your life
As the days go by your life becomes a lie
A prison in which you cannot escape.
Too late to go back and change your mistakes.
You look for an easy way out
And you lie some more.
Trapped between so many lies
You can’t seem to tell the truth from your lies.
The more you try to get out the worse it becomes.
Your life has become a lie and a mess
You can’t risk the truth
Your mouth becomes a trap
That only hurts those you love and care of.
Your tongue becomes a dagger stabbing everyone through the back.
Your friends are now your enemies
And your life is a disaster.
Don’t risk it more and tell the truth
Beat your troubles and your despair
Fight for what right and regain that trust you lost.
Don’t lie again and stay truthful
Because your life is full of wonders.
