Hope

With hope and motivation, truly amazing things can happen.

Hope can be found where it is sought,

But if left alone there shall be naught.

Idle years after the world was torn apart,

The people decided it was time to restart.

 

And in the darkness of the night,

Came a bright and shining light.

Shining its light here and there,

'Til hope was radiated ev'rywhere.

 

Food landed in the hands of the poor,

A baby lay on the barren woman's door.

And the mute could speak, so they did sing;

As the bell rang out--salvation's ring!

Author's Note

Obviously I was using hyperboles, but still.
And I know it's not perfect. It was a little folly in the middle of class. It's not supposed to be serious, it's supposed to be a little quirky.

Quirky is good! It ties in your character and personality. I smiled at the end. "And the mute could speak, so they did sing" made my eyes sting with tears. It is a ravishing poem might I add. I love how you address hope in this way. Clever.

Comment - Hope is important, it empowers us to reach farther than we otherwise would... its important to try.

Review - well... numerous thoughts need reflection. Obvious (saught=sought) to demur (shining and Shining). Stumbling ryhthm. The last stanza - its concepts fit but the realities don't. And I really don't want to seem or come across mean... We are human and flaws happen. I'm far from perfect.
