She was in love, but her heart was broken.

She was in love,

She thought he was too.

But it turns out he wasn't,

So his words were not true.

 

She was in love,

With the player in town.

His words raised her up,

Then let her fall down.

 

She was in love,

Just head over heels.

She thought that she knew it all,

About the way that she feels.

 

She was in love,

With the man who played her as a fool.

She thought he was like a God,

And other girls thought he was cool.

 

She was in love,

With the man with gold lips.

His kisses were sweet,

But her love was eclipsed.

 

She was in love,

And his arms were so strong.

As he held another girl,

She knew she had been wronged.

 

Yes, she was in love!

And she is still.

But the difference this time,

Is this man gives her a thrill.

 

But this man is not the player,

She won't make that mistake twice.

This guy is different,

This guy is nice.

It's about a girl who was cheated on by her boyfriend, and then she found a new man who treated her right.

I think every girl has, or will go through the guy "she was in love" with. This poem captures the exact pain every girl, and maybe guy goes through. I've been through this exact predicament. The guy I thought I loved handed another girl my ring right in front of me, butttttt, let me get back to you and this great poem. I'm glad with the happy ending, she found someone better. Everyone deserves happienss.
