MemoriesA Poem by YoungTThe visions in my mind I can't seem to let go of.I don't want to see them. But I can't seem to free them. I remember the old days when we would fight for our freedom. I remember the gang bangs the drive-by's the licks. Women who sold themselves while they sucked men's dicks. A life were women stayed getting degraded. Where men fight for money cause that's a sign that they've made it. Gangsters and thugs to pimps and soldiers. Young children living with big chips on their shoulders. Little girls already being set on the corner. Young boys frightened of not getting older. All of these people. Nobody can see them. They're screaming in my head all they want is they're freedom. I try not to view the images being played. Yet those are the memories that just don't fade. © 2013 YoungTReviews
