Wandering Focus

Wandering Focus

A Poem by Young Mountain
"

The 5th short in the series"Behind The Empty Curtain".

"

Sometimes I wish I could ask of more
shutter my eyes like the flickering light
I pause to think of the morning after
but right now is all the focus

It's who I was yesterday
even from the outside
do my words feel empty on your soul
wandering about feeling like tomorrow
you think you feel my breath,
but it's the aftermath of my skin haunting you.

I want to tell you
I want to whisper
but I can't......
your already gone,
misplaced,
forgotten,
a sweet memory of a dream.
