Chapter 3. 2049 February 3rd

2049 February 3^rd  

Over the next 2 weeks everything was normal, go to school, work, do more work, sleep, hang out with friends, and repeat. Though a lot of strange things happened, I was doing an experiment in science and the water was taking for ever to heat up and all of a sudden it was boiling like crazy and ended up burning me, then while I was walking to school I realised that I had left my earphones at home, the they appeared in my hand, I brushed it all off as coincidences there are people who have gifts, but they get them when there born and then go to a “special school.” Boring a bunch of obnoxious people who will just brag about how “special they are.” I told Gale, Amy and Amber, Gale said it was probably nothing, but Amber and Amy said stuff like that was happening to them too. But as Gale said its probably just nothing. Tonight I was finally going to meet Amy’s boyfriend, we postponed it because Ethan went on a holiday. I had just gotten out of the shower when the bell rang. I quickly chucked on a nice short cut dress, and some thigh high boots, and left my hair out. I ran out to Gale and head off, once we made it to the plaza, we walked to the cinemas.

“Jebus!” I run up to her jumping onto her.

“So this is the new hubby.” I look behind her. Their stands her I guess new boyfriend he has tan skin, curly dirty blond hair with brown eyes, he is tall lucky because so is Amy.

“And you must be the devil Amy is always telling me about.” I laugh.

“Never I’m an innocent angel.” Gale rolls his eyes.

“Let’s go!” Amy says, grabbing my hand. “You guys go get our seats.” She leads me into the food line.

“So . . . what do you think of him?”

“Meh, he is okay.” Her face flashed to worried.

“He is okay don’t worry.” We finally get the popcorn and start to head to the theatre.

“Are they all here?” I voice says in a soft whisper. Me and Amy both stop and look around the corner. Gale, Ethan and Miniko are standing around a few people I’ve seen around school.

“Yes they are all here.” Gale says, in a disappointed tone.

I look behind us and see Amber, I hold my finger up to my lip, she runs up to us and looks around the corner.

“What’s going on?” She asks quietly.

“We don’t know.” I say we all look around the corner.

“Thing is do they know?” someone random says.

“No they don’t.” Gale says and looks down at the floor.

They all nod and walk in to the theatre, we wait a second and walk in after them. ‘Should we go back?’ I stop, then continue on, the theatre was very empty it was strange. We split from Amber and walk up too Gale and Ethan, I sit down next to Gale, he places his hand on my thigh, I look around a small buzzing sound engulfs the room, getting louder and louder. I cover my ears, but the sound doesn’t stop.

“Stop!” I yell. I look over at Amber who looks at me, then Amy. I stand up and run down the stairs to the bottom. Amber and Amy follow.

“What happening?” Amber askes.

“I don’t know.” I say back. “This is crazy.”

“F**k!” Amy shouts quick and sharp. I look over at her, a dart is sticking out the side of her shoulder, she slowly starts swaying, I run over to her and catch her before she hits the floor.

“Amy, Amy wake up, answer me!” I scream slapping her face.

   N “She’s is knocked out she won’t answer you.” I look up at Ethan who is holding a straw type thing in one hand and more darts in the other.

“Dude Wtf are you doing!” I yell. “What is going on?”

“We are here on a mission, to collect you and your friends, well you ecpecially.” He slowly start to walk down towards us. ‘This dude is bloody crazy and probably on drugs.’ He slits a dart into the straw, and brings it to her mouth. I quickly look over to amber who pushes me out of the way.

“Stay strong b***h!” She falls to the floor. I look around frantically everyone is staring at me. I run out of the room, when I feel a stabbing pain in my leg. I look down and pull a dart from my calf, and throw it to the floor, I glance behind me to see a mob of people run towards me. I start to run again. I don’t know what is happening, I’m confused. I don’t know what’s happening. I don’t know what to do so I run. They all betrayed us we told them not to tell anyone. They told us it was nothing but they knew something was happening. Do they work for them are they seekers. I felt hurt more than ever before. I felt tears well up. But I held them back. ‘I just want to get out of here.’ I feel this strange tingle overwhelm my body, then I feel as if nothing is under me but I am still running on a surface, when suddenly. I’m surrounded by trees, a forest. I look back behind me, they are all still following me. So I continue to run. I didn’t know what I was doing. But I didn’t know what was to become.
