A Chapter by John Carver

A man was standing right in the middle of town when he cried out, “Look Hito!” and the exact replica of the old church, bell and all appeared out of nowhere and Hito in Yogcao cheered and cried out in tears. “Look at the name of it Hito!”

It read “In memory of Hito. He truly is the one!” under large letters that read, “Hito’s Church,” and the brand new bell rang loud and long causing everyone in town to gather around it in the entire area and then they went inside. The big and tall man was standing at the pulpit.

The tiny church was very crowded but no one complained as the man said, “I am John’s God!” in the Holy Spirit, Sos then, “Greetings to one and all!” Then he made his way through the cramped church to the door, opened it himself and went out where there was a man that was halt. “What are you doing standing here? Everyone in town and in the area is inside.”

“I am crippled and cannot manage the steps and I was too late for anyone to help me in,” he said. “Jesus. Heal me. You can if you will.”

Jesus said, “You did not say that of yourself but of the Holy Spirit. I will, what you want.”

Immediately his leg was healed and all the pain it normally caused him was gone. He didn’t even have so much as a headache. He began dancing and jumping in the street as people came to the door to see what the commotion was out there. When they saw it, they went back in and screamed so that no one could make it out.

The man, Hito’s son What in the Earth Have I Done or Witehid ran up the stairs and into Hito’s Church and when those near the door saw him they made way as for him and he went dancing, crying out and screaming for joy as he had in the street all the way to the pulpit. Then he just stood there and looked at the amazement of each and everyone in the crowd.

Then he said, “Well?”

“Is this Witehid?” some whispered to their neighbors.

“It is me, Witehid!!!” he screamed so loud that he could have been heard as far as the bell ring or nearly that it seemed for he had been halt from birth.

“How is it you can do this?” a man near the front asked loudly.

“Jesus!!!” he screamed and looked eagerly in their faces. Then he spotted his mother in the crowd and went to her weeping, “Jesus healed me, Mother of Mine,” barely managing to get the words out.

“Where is he?” they shouted, “That we may worship him?”

“He is in the street!!!” he screamed and ran toward the doors but the crowd was filing out of the church in one big bunch and cut him off before he got halfway.

As they came out Jesus was standing there and they were so wonder struck they just stared at him. But he waited until everyone including Witehid were in the street when a man ran down the street toward him and when he got to him he said, “I heard Hito’s voice saying, ‘Get up! You are not dead but only asleep! And here I am!” Then he got down on the ground and lay at Jesus’ feet crying and wiping his sandals of his tears.

The whole crowd rushed Jesus but he stood his ground for they were crying, “Away with you! For you are holy and we are wicked people! Surely we will die!”

But Jesus never moved a muscle. He looked at them and had mercy on them and healed the slightest imperfection. Then he said, “You are dead. Follow me.”

They all followed him as he left the little town that didn’t even have a name until then but they decided to call it Our King Was In Here or Okwih.

“Did you write that?” I, John Carver, asked Jesus.

“I tried but they would not let me,” was Jesus’ reply.

“Why?” I asked.

“For it is written,” Jesus said to me, “‘The word gives life but the letter kills.’ So I put my very words in your mind and you did as you always do. You translated it for me. What I would have written would have been in ancient Hebrew.”

“Write his thoughts as you see them but write everything he says exactly as he said it but in English,” an angel of John in the future said to me, “You will live.”

“I did not say that,” Jesus said, “I never thought of it. You have done it again, John.” Then he turned to me and said, “I forgive you for putting words in my mind.”

They went to every town in the wilderness and many did not have enough to feed them but Jesus made sure they never ran out of bread and wine. That is what they ate and drank, bread and wine while the people of each town ate meat and drank whatever they had, mostly water and some followed but some stayed behind because of their unbelief. All who believed in him loved him and called on his name and followed him. The rest stayed behind in wonder at the miracles he had done there but he hardened their hearts so the ones John didn’t want because of Ofpij did not believe.
